These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the basis on which you may rent and use storage facilities and related services provided by Silo Storage Ltd, located in Cupar, Fife. By hiring or using our storage services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of Storage Services

  • Storage units are provided for lawful storage of personal or business property.

  • You must not store hazardous, illegal, perishable, or flammable goods, or anything that may cause harm, nuisance, or damage.

  • You are responsible for ensuring all items stored are adequately packed and protected.

2. Rental Agreements and Payments

  • Rental fees are payable in advance, as agreed in your hire contract.

  • Late payments may incur additional charges and could result in restricted access or termination of your agreement.

  • We reserve the right to review and amend prices with prior notice.

3. Access and Security

  • Access to storage units is during the hours and conditions stated in your hire agreement.

  • You are responsible for providing your own padlock and keeping your key secure.

  • We will take reasonable measures to maintain site security, but cannot guarantee against theft, damage, or unauthorised access.

4. Insurance and Liability

  • All goods stored are at your own risk.

  • Silo Storage Ltd does not provide insurance for items stored. You are strongly advised to obtain your own insurance.

  • We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to stored goods, except where required by law.

5. Customer Responsibilities

  • You must keep your storage unit clean and in good condition.

  • You must not cause damage to the facility, other units, or property on site.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that your contact details and billing information are accurate and up-to-date.

6. Termination of Agreement

  • You may terminate your rental by giving the required notice as outlined in your hire contract.

  • Units must be cleared of all items and left in a clean condition.

  • Failure to vacate or pay outstanding fees may result in us exercising a lien over the goods and disposing of them in accordance with UK law.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Our services are provided “as is” and we make no guarantees regarding uninterrupted access or protection from loss or damage.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid by you for storage services in the 3 months prior to any claim.

8. Governing Law

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.

  • Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
